I started three years ago with blogging in the hope I would gather some Adsense income. Then I discovered Affiliate Marketing. Now I’m three years in Affiliate marketing and made hundreds of Affiliate links. But how can I manage that?

You know that links are important and that you shouldn’t have dead links. You probably also discovered that affiliate programms change so you need to prune and update affiliate links. The problem is that if you have many affiliate links, let alone many websites this can be a big task to cope with. But it is really necessary as search engines don’t like websites with too many deadlinks.

A good affiliate link plugin automatically makes links on your blog of the keywords you specify. There are a couple of free affiliate link plugins but thecommercial affiliate link plugins also have the cloaking functionality. With link cloaking you can prevent other people from getting your affiliate commision by ‘editing’ your affiliate links.

In my opinion the two best affiliate link plugins are MaxBlogPress Ninja Affiliate and SEO Smart Links.

MBP Ninja Affiliate is a good affordable affiliate link plugin. It can do almost everything. You have to give every Ninja Link a name, but this isn’t matched as a keyword so you have to enter this information twice and you should watch out with headings as the plugin doesn’t avoid headings in the linking of keywords. If you have a lot of links on your blog maintenance is burdersome. There is no import/export mechanism of the added links.

SEO Smart Links Business has some advantages compared to other affiliate link plugins. The plugin has a CSV Import/Export function so you can export the links to a spreadsheet. This makes it a lot easier for you if you have a lot of links to manage. If you plan to use Simplepress as your WordPress Forum plugin than you should use SEO Smartlinks. Contrary to other affiliate links plugins, SEO Smart Links also adds your affiliate links to the forum posts! Also their Pro version has some performance enhancements. As you can imagine linking the keywords can be heavy on your website especially if your website has a lot of posts. And if you have a lot of blogs the Network Feature will interest you. It allows you to have a central location for all your custom keywords. The plugin will automatically synchronize with the list once a day at a schedule timed!

If you haven’t have many links on your websites, than MBP Ninja Affiliate is a good affordable choice. The most expensive affiliate link plugin is SEO Smart Links but it is the best. Excellent performance, easy management by spreadsheet of affiliate links and supports linking to Simplepress generated forums. Imagine your most profitable links moving to another affiliate network. With SEO Smart Links this is a lot easier to do. Compare importing to a spreadsheet and editing it with clicking through all the pages as with the other affiliate link plugins and you know why it is worth the money.
